Out of office: Raymond has more important things to do

They’re arguably the worst thing that ever happened to mankind – generic out-of-office replies. Join my fight to get rid of unremarkable out-of-office replies. To help, I’ve collected some great positive exceptions, starting with the one below.
Thanks for reaching out to me.
From time to time I disconnect to spend time with the people most important in my life: my family. And with disconnect, I mean truly disconnect. No calls but cuddles, no newsletters but newspapers, no building a company but building bedsheet castles the size of my daughter’s bedroom, no breakfast meetings but breakfast in bed, no email but mailing handwritten postcards to friends, no apps but … well, I think you get the picture here. So, no, I won’t be replying to email, calls or apps.
My quest to bring spontaneity back into the world goes on even when I’m disconnected. For anything srprs.me-related that is so-extremely-important-it-can’t-wait-till-I’m-back, you can contact our Chief of Special Operations . He knows everything I know and on top of that, he is smarter and better organised. You can send him an email at .
Finally, maybe I can inspire you to spend the time you would have normally spent emailing, calling or apping me to make a small change in your life to be more spontaneous: try brushing your teeth with your other hand, try a surprise dinner in a restaurant or … just let srprs.me arrange your next trip.
Looking forward to speak to you later!

Hi, my name is Polle de Maagt. I challenge organizations to be less about ads and more about acts. For years, I’ve helped brands like KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Rituals Nike, LEGO and IKEA rethink customer relationships; not through more marketing, but through meaningful experiences. Drawing from design thinking, agile, and service design, I focus on making real change happen.
