They’re arguably the worst thing that ever happened to mankind – generic out-of-office replies. Join my fight to get rid of unremarkable out-of-office replies. To help, I’ve collected some great positive exceptions, starting with the one below.
I am not sure about the source, but loved it too much to not share it here. I guess it sums up what many of us are thinking (and maybe actually doing) and puts it painfully clear and direct in an email:
I am out of office until [date].
I will be unable to delete all the emails you send me until I return from holidays. Please be patient, and your mail will be deleted in the order it was received.
